With the memories of one of the largest exhibitions in Asia, the G2E Macao, still fresh in our minds, we are going to visit this beautiful part of the continent again. 

From July 12 to 14, Manila, the capital of the Philippines, will host the first but already promising Phil-Asian Gaming Expo (PAGE 2019).

PAGE Philippines: How it will be

The exhibition is sponsored by the Philippine Entertainment and Games Corporation (PAGCOR), which is a government and regulatory agency under the President of the Philippines, as well as currently the third-largest source of revenue after the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Customs Administration.

PAGE 2019 will be located on 2 floors of SMX Manila exhibition complex and will take up an area of more than 15,000 m. sq. More than 100 companies from various gambling sectors will present their products and services at the stands. In addition, the exhibition dedicates a special area for companies that offer gambling-related products and services, such as banking services, recruitment companies and others.

The organizers decided to abandon the typical conference format and opted for the so-called “Inspiring Talk” version instead. Every day between 2 pm and 5 pm, the main stage of the exhibition pavilion will welcome representatives of the gaming industry with their 20-minute presentations. The format of this event is to share knowledge and technologies of the industry, launch new products and discuss ideas.

The organizers of PAGE 2019 plan to turn this event into the main platform of the Asian market for B2B segment of gambling industry. And given the rapid growth and development of the gaming market in the Philippines and throughout Asia, their plans clearly have every chance of becoming reality.

In a couple of weeks, the gambling industry is going to host its main event of the year. 

The annual international exhibition ICE Totally Gaming 2019 will be held from 5 to 7 February in London, at the ExCel exhibition center.

This year, ICE London 2019 will occupy an area of 45,500 sq.m. What is worth noting is annual growth in exhibition space, as well as the increase in number of visitors and exhibitors, which once again proves the popularity and importance of the exhibition for the gaming industry. 

Companies from more than 150 countries will present their products and services. Among the participants will be representatives of betting and lottery business, manufacturers of casino equipment, gaming software, payment systems etc. 

ICE VOX, an educational block that will be organized within the exhibition. It will take place from 4 to 6 February and will consist of 7 thematic units: 

International Casino Conference – a conference dedicated to global trends and innovations in the field of land-based casinos.

World Regulatory Briefing – a conference centered around the legislative issues of gambling business. 

Modernizing Lotteries – lottery business and opportunities for its development.

Advertising and Marketing – this conference will have its debut at ICE VOX. Everyone will be able to learn about advertising strategies and marketing in the gambling industry. 

Cybercrime and Security – a conference dedicated to security issues.

Artificial Intelligence – Another debut this year. This conference will discuss artificial intelligence (AI) and its future prospects, taking the world’s first AI-operated casino as an example.

Esports – the focus of this conference is all about cybersports.

In addition to the exhibition and educational conferences, the organizers and partners of ICE London have prepared a range of entertainment events and additional bonuses for all participants.

With New Year holidays around the corner, many people sum up the results of the year and make plans for the future. We, the Imperium-Games team, would also like to follow that tradition and reflect on all the memorable events of 2018 along with our achievements this year.

We started the year – together with other companies representing the gambling industry – at ICE Totally Gaming 2018 – the world’s largest exhibition in all things gambling. Every year ICE sets the pace and direction for the industry, and the inspiration, impressions and practical knowledge gained during this event last the whole year.

The next point on our map was Macau in China, namely Global Gaming Expo 2018, better known as G2E Asia. This region has long been nicknamed ‘the Chinese Las Vegas’, and according to the latest statistics, Macau is the world leader when it comes to the income generated from gambling.

Leaving Asia behind, the Imperium-Games team went to conquer Europe. Our first stop was the sunny island of Cyprus and Cyprus Gaming Show (CGS). Although it is difficult to compare the scale of this event with any other exhibition, as CGS is held only for the second time, we can say with confidence that this event has a great future.

The Netherlands was the second European country we visited this year. Amsterdam pleasantly surprised us with an upgraded version of iGaming Super Show. This year, Clarion Gaming decided to combine three thematically distinct events into one, and it proved to be a success. The iGB Live conference became a lot more interesting and productive, and we will make sure not to miss it in 2019.

The first autumn exhibition for us was Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas, US. More than 25,000 representatives of the gaming industry from all over the world came to the American capital of entertainment. During four days of the event, G2E showcased a wide range of products for the betting and lottery business, land-based and online casinos, as well as related products and services.

The event the Imperium-Games team really looked forward to was ICE Africa, and it was held in Johannesburg (South Africa) in October 2018 for the first time. For many years now, our company has regarded South Africa as one of the most interesting countries in terms of gambling business development, and the success of ICE Africa once again confirmed the existence of various opportunities and potential for growth in that region. 

The exhibition was attended by representatives from more than 52 countries. Betting companies, game developers, software developers and manufacturers of gaming equipment all presented their products and services during the forum. We can say with confidence that ICE Africa will soon boast the same importance in the gaming industry as its predecessor – the ICE London.

We decided to finish our 2018 exhibition tour at Sigma iGaming Malta. It was our first time at Sigma, and the experience we got was very positive. We would like to praise the hosts for the high standards in organizing the event, as well as for inviting some very enthusiastic and responsive audience.

Having attended the main annual events in gambling industry, we couldn’t help noticing that there are hundreds of young companies with innovative ideas, although the established ones also keep up with the trend and launch new products. 

All this shows that the gaming industry is in a state of rapid development, which means that in 2019 there will be even more exhibitions and conferences to attend, acquaintances and partnerships to forge, and is just another reason for us to be happy. In a few days, the Imperium-Games team is going to present a calendar of gambling events planned for 2019.

Imperium-Games spent those 3 days in Malta in an atmosphere of complete immersion in the world of gaming. New acquaintances, negotiations, product presentations, transactions with partners, all this became possible thanks to Sigma 2018. We would like to thank the expo organizers for a quality and productive event and look forward to Sigma 2019.

One more important and long-awaited event in October was the ICE AFRICA exhibition, which took place on October 24-25 in Johannesburg. More than 60 companies from around the world presented their products and services at the Sandton Convention Center exhibition hall.

The Imperium-Games team could not miss such an important event. A small photo report on a bright and, in fact, a historical event for the gambling business for all African continent – Ice Africa 2018.

The 5th Sigma iGaming Malta 2018 exhibition dedicated to online gambling will be held from November 28 to 30. Sigma will be held at the Malta Fairs and Convention Center and will bring together more than 400 companies of sponsors and participants at one venue.
